Love the velvet. Seat is firm back cushions are soft. Super easy to put together- did it myself but I would say two people would be easier - I kept the plastic on it while I assembled it. Legs point out not towards inside of couch. I got three front legs and 1 back leg. Contacted Wayfair in the app and they rushed out another leg. Love that the seat is one long cushion. The two back cushions Velcro on. This might be my favorite item from Wayfair and I have been very happy with all my products. Love the look feel and ease of this couch.
